According to Stars and Stripes, regular US troops will fill a peacekeeping rotation in Kosovo this northern spring, for the first time in ten years. The regular Army has been busy in Iraq, Afghanistan and elsewhere, so jobs like this went to the National Guard and Army reservists. Not any more.
Looks like the US Army is going to get back to real soldiering, as the story goes. And I imagine the rest of the Western armies will be not far behind. Best wishes to them all.
