Additional French troops in Bangui

A reinforced company of 150 French troops is securing Bangui airport, presumably to facilitate the evacuation of French nationals from the Central African Republic. The capital, Bangui, is about to fall to Seleka rebel forces.

Various other nations have small numbers of peacekeeping troops in the country. France also had 250 troops in the capital to protect French nationals and up to 400 advisors training the national army before this reinforcement.
